Starting Fresh + New Beginnings

I know I usually do not post on Thursdays, let alone back to back to another post but I can’t wait another week. I need to have a little chat with my loyal readers…

I have made a big decision in my life. A decision that I have been wanting to make for while. A decision to follow my dreams and pursue my new beginning in something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember.

I know most of you are probably going to hate me and unfollow me on my socials… but that’s okay.

I have officially decided to stop blogging and pursue my passion in starting my own Arizona based photography business, Danielle Ruppert Photography.

I am not going to sit around and say I am sorry because in the end… I am happy with my decision and I feel like this is the right path for me. I want to be happy in what I do so, in this case, I have to be a bit selfish.

I hope you sincerely understand and respect my decision to go down this path and pursue my dream of becoming an Arizona based photographer.1

Sure I am going to miss everyone of my readers but I am ready to focus on myself and follow my passion.

I will always have a place in my heart for my readers♥

If you love the beauty of photography or even possibly just want to still support me… It would mean the world to me for you to stick around and support me♥

You can check out my Facebook page for Danielle Ruppert Photography here.

As well as check out my new Instagram page for Danielle Ruppert Photography here.

I am also still going to be continuing my Youtube Channel if you are subscribed to me so do not worry 🙂 I just be mostly vlogging instead of making videos that are corresponding to my blog posts… since I am not going to be blogging anymore. But I will still be posting other videos too on my channel here and there because I actually just became a partner with Banish to become a Banish Warrior! So if you loved watching my weekend vlogs as well as my other lifestyle videos, I will be continuing that still and hope you stick around!

By the end of writing this, I am a little bit teary eyed as I say goodbye to this blog.

Thanks again for all the love and support♥  I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me in life and hope you decide to follow along!

Love ALWAYS,

Weekend Morning Routine

Weekend Morning RoutineMy weekend morning are very different from my week day mornings.

The weekend is my time to not only relax but work most on my blog, video editing, and now my newly established photography business (you can visit my Facebook page for my photography here)!

I have struggled over the years to find a good morning routine that will benefit me and I finally think I have found it!

DSC02085

When I wake up on the weekends I usually have my hubby by my side but sometimes he will go out to go shooting with his friends and since we live in Arizona and it is bloody hot out during the day — he usually likes to go in the early morning to avoid the heat so some weekend mornings I will wake up with just me and the puppies.

(Which I am not complaining about because that just means more snuggles for me! ha!)

DSC02086DSC02083

I honestly take a while to get out of bed because I tend to get all the puppy snuggles I can get… I mean how can you not snuggle these faces?! It’s so hard to resist!

Once I am done getting some puppy love, I will usually make my way to the door and let the pups out of the bedroom so that they can head to the doggy door to do their business.

Then I will head over to the bathroom and, even though I am not going to be going anywhere usually, I still put myself together a bit so that I feel refreshed and ready for what ever the day has planned for me (which, to be honest, is usually staying at home, working on my blog, and lounging).

DSC02087DSC02098DSC02101

First, we start with skincare — My absolute favorite part of the day because I love how refreshed and awake I feel with a cleansed face. I currently use the Tea Tree line from The Body Shop because it works wonders on my acne and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I then pick up my tooth brush and cleanse my teeth because dental hygiene is super important!

DSC02106

After I am all cleansed and refreshed, I go feed the pups their breakfast as well as make my own (and John’s, if he is home in the morning) breakfast which typically is a bowl of cereal because I am not like those YouTubers who cook themselves a full course breakfast in the morning… Let’s be real here!

DSC02112DSC02119

While I eat my breakfast, I will usually sit on the couch (aka. my home office haha) and work on any blog or YouTube work I have for the weekend. I like to plan out what I have to do for the weekend which is usually finishing up a blog post, editing pictures and videos 🙂

DSC02114

The weekend is also my time to clean up the house that I didn’t feel like cleaning up during the week, so I will usually spend sometime cleaning up my bedroom and making my bed in the morning so that I get it over with and have the rest of the day to do what ever I want.

DSC02115DSC02117

I know… pretty fun morning routine right?! Well, the pug cuddles part is for sure! haha

No, but I really do enjoy my morning routine during the weekend because it feels pretty relaxing and I get to do what I love most, which is write for my lovely followers, take pictures, and film videos♥

I honestly wish this could be my everyday morning routine but for now… it doesn’t pay the bills soooo that is that!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading about my morning routine. Feel free to watch my video on how my weekend mornings usually go:

How do you spend your weekend mornings? Do you have a routine you somewhat follow? Leave me a comment!

Stay beautiful,

Summer Skincare Essentials

Summer Skincare Essentials

It has been so dang hot out lately! Especially over here in Arizona… where the weather is in the 100s.

With the weather being so dreadful and brutal with the heat, it is soo important to take extra good care of our skin during this season.

So today, I thought I would share with you my Summer skincare essentials that help me get ready for those hot summer months!

DSC01953

Shea Moisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Wash & Scrub*

For the longest time, I thought I hated exfoliants and scrubs because they can spread acne to other areas if exfoliated to harshly.

I can tell you now… I WAS WRONG!

The Shea Moisture African Black Soap Wash and Scrub for problem skin actually helped my acne clear up. With Tea Tree oil and and Tamarind extract being the two main ingredients, it really does a great job of combating the active pimples.

Having clear skin is my first step to getting a summer glow because this is the season where I like to go natural and show my bare skin so I like to make sure my skin is clear of blemishes.

DSC01976

Shea Moisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask*

I have been obsessed with using masks almost every other night so I have been trying some different ones out but I always come back to this Shea Moisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask.

Just like the Wash and Scrub, it also has Tamarind extract and Tea Tree oil, so it really helps to get rid of those pesky pimples for a blemish free complexion.

This mud mask along with the wash and scrub work so well together at giving me clear skin so I can go for a more natural + glowy look during the summer.

Because who wants to cake on a bunch of makeup during the hot summer days…. Not me! I’d rather have my skin looking natural and clear of acne and Shea Moisture has some of the best cruelty-free skincare that does just the trick for that.

DSC01970

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying Toner

The Body Shop Tea Tree range has always been a staple in my skincare routine so I just find it fitting to talk about it in my summer skincare essentials.

My skin gets really oily and, to be honest, it is just not cute at all. With the hot summer weather my oil spins out of control. The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Mattifying toner not only helps with blemishes but also helps keep my oil at bay throughout the day without getting rid of all the glow in my skin.

DSC01962

Art Naturals Vitamin C Serum*

I have never really been into serums until I tried this Art Natural Vitamin C Serum. Now I’m hooked!

This serum is the definition of summer glow as it really brightens the skin within just a couple uses! Not only does it brighten, but it fades scars and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I use just a couple drops and apply all over my face but only use this product at night time. It is not advised to use vitamin c and then go out in direct sunlight as it can be damaging to the skin so I like to add it to my night skincare routine to avoid any sun.

DSC01957

Olay Complete Lotion All Day Moisturizer with SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin*

Moisturizer is super important to get a natural summer glow and keep the skin hydrated from the hot weather.

I have tried so many moisturizers but the Olay Complete Lotion All Day Moisturizer has all of them beat! It is lightweight, non greasy and really hydrates the skin. Not only does it help keep the skin moisturized, but also has SPF 15 to protect the skin from the harsh sun rays.

DSC01971

Glam Roller Derma-Roller

Derma-rolling is becoming more and more popular within skincare routines lately and I can now say that I am one of those people who are in the craze!

After just one use of the Glam Roller derma-roller, I could tell a difference in my skin.

Derma-rollers puncture tiny holes into the skin so that the skin goes into repair mode. It then repairs all the holes along with repairing scars and other blemishes on the skin.

I have seen a huge reduction of acne after I started using a my derma-roller and an overall improvement in my skin’s appearance!

DSC01979

All of these skincare products really help me make sure my skin looks its best during the harsh Summer months and really give my skin that summer glow that everyone strives for!

DSC02007

Have you tried any of these skincare products? How do you keep your skin healthy and glowy during the Summer? Leave me a comment below!

Love Always,

Stand up for yourself and your morals…

Today’s post is going to be a bit more on the serious side.

Stand up for yourself and your morals...

This post was originally supposed to be a post about our trip up to Canyon Lake for my hubby’s birthday on June 23rd but things kind of turned upside down and we ended up leaving the lake early.

What lead me to write this post:

The weekend of the 23rd was supposed to be a fun birthday weekend for my husband and we had been waiting for this weekend for a while. But things turned to crap and we unfortunately ended up  not having the fun weekend we planned on having.

We drove up to Canyon Lake, Arizona June 23rd, Friday evening after work, which was John’s 23rd birthday! WOO GOLDEN BIRTHDAY! Right?! We were so ready to party up the weekend with a couple of friends and just relax by the lake.

We arrived around 7:30pm that night and immediately threw on our bathing suits (because if you don’t know this already… Arizona is a killer heat state)! John grabbed his beers and we were ready to get this weekend started.

WRONG!

Don’t get me wrong the night was pretty fun all before it turned the wrong direction. I was tired but I was still having a good time and was looking forward to the next two days at the lake… but I got a tad frustrated with one of our friends who was getting a little out of control for her age… and by that I mean riskayy with her actions — if you know what I mean.

Let me mind you, she had been drinking since the middle of the day so she was already wasted by the time we arrived to our camping spot at the lake… so I could already sense something to go wrong but I was trying to focus on the fun of the weekend.

I am not going to get into details but I will say that, with her being drunk and acting a little riskayy… she was acting a little too friendly with my John and I was not taking a liking to it.

I know she was drunk and that is fine if you want to be a little raunchy… that is YOUR CHOICE. But when it comes to acting that way towards my husband I will not tolerate it.

Now… I didn’t feel like confronting her to her face about her inappropriate actions towards John because again… she was completely drunk. I already knew how it would go down if I told an intoxicated girl to stop being provocative towards my husband… she would throw a hissy fit!

I don’t need that, john doesn’t need on his birthday. So I decided to tell John that I did not like how she was coming across to him and asked him to stop her if she continued.

I hold my standards and morals high… even being 21 years old I do not agree with girls and especially women who are 31 being — and this might be a little blunt but — slutty. But again that is your choice. Just don’t bring it on to my husband.

Anyway…

I guess she had heard us talking about her because our tent happened to be by the cooler that she was getting her beer out of.

Long story short, we all got into a huge fight because she did not like hearing that (word for word) “her name was in someone else’s mouth”. Real mature for a 31 year old right?

She didn’t like the fact that someone was calling her out for being a drunk and for being a little too riskayyy. And that’s understandable, but it also needs to be understood that you should not be coming across like to other people’s husbands.

To be honest, she didn’t think she was coming across that way and it was probably because she had lots to drink, but that is also why I did not tell her to her face. Again, I knew how she would react if I told her how I thought she was coming across… that is why I chose to talk to John about it instead of confronting her.

It might have been the alcohol.. but it still is not an excuse to act that way and then not understand where I am coming from.

So pretty much… our friendship ended that night and we decided to go home at 4 in the morning that Friday night.

So much for a Golden Birthday!

DSC01937

After experiencing that event, I came to realize that more people should stand up for themselves and their morals. Don’t let someone think that you are being crazy for believing in something or not being as out there *wink wink* as others.

DSC01945

You do not have to be accepted by everyone and you definitely do not have to be friends with people who do things that you do not approve of. Just be yourself and surround yourself with people who follow your morals or at least respect them.

DSC01943

I know this was quite deep this week but I just felt like sharing that insight with you loves♥ Plus, I had to write about something this week with the Canyon Lake post out the window… haha

On a good note… 🙂

I did have a fun video go up on the YouTube channel yesterday of my friend Sierra and I trying out lots of Mexican candy! It was super fun and hilarious! Feel free to check it out:

Have you ever been in a sticky situation where someone didn’t respect you? What is your opinion on good morals? Leave me a comment!

What Your Acne Is Really Telling You│Face Mapping

What Your Acne Is Really Telling You

ACNE SUCKS!

We all know it… we all get it…

Unless you are one of those lucky and rare people who are blessed enough not to have experienced acne and breakouts… acne affects almost everyone!

There are so many different contributions to acne that could be caused by your lifestyle choices or (if you are extra lucky… jk) genetics.

Each area of your face can actually tell you why you are getting breakouts in that specific area. Depending on where your acne arises, it can really speaking to you about what you are doing in your daily routine to cause your breakouts or what problems your body has that is contributing to these breakouts.

Today we are going to talk about what your acne is really telling you!

Snapshot_106

Forehead

Acne on the forehead is usually caused by poor or weak digestion.

If you think about it, you digestion system is where we absorb our nutrients that promote healthy skin, so if the digestion system is not working smoothly, our skin will suffer with breakouts!

Staying away from overly processed foods and drinks are a great way to keep digestion running smoothly. Also, drink plenty of water to flush out any toxins from within the body.

T-Zone Face Map

T-Zone

Breakouts in this area are related to problems occurring in the liver.

We all love to go out and have some greasy fast food or even go out and have a some drinks with our friends, but if you are breaking out in this area, it is probably because you are doing these things.

Try to reduce your intake of alcohol, greasy foods, dairy, and processed foods. This will help your liver function better so that it doesn’t turn to your skin and produce acne.

Pimples in this area can also be a sign of an allergy or allergic reaction, so make sure you are checking the ingredients in not only the foods you are consuming but the products you are using on your skin.

Around the Eyes Face Map

Around The Eyes

This area is connected to the kidneys so kidney malfunction and kidney problems could be causing this type of acne.

Again, this is where water comes in to save the day!

Kidney problems are a sign of dehydration so drinking lots of water should help combat any of those concerns; therefore, reducing amounts of breakouts.

I cannot stress this enough… water = clear skin!

Upper Cheeks Face Map

Upper Cheeks

The upper cheeks area is linked to our lungs.

Toxins such as air pollution and smoking (whether it be from self-use or even secondhand) are leading factors for acne in this area.

Bacteria from cell phones, dirty makeup brushes, and even pillows are also contributions to acne in this area.

That is why it is always good to make sure your makeup brushes are clean, pillows are washed every so often, pillow cases washed every or every other weekend, and cell phones are wiped clean of bacteria.

Lower Cheeks Face Map

Lower Cheeks

Acne in the lower cheek area is usually a sign of poor dental hygiene.

Flossing, brushing, and rinsing mouth with fluoride is not just a way to have good dental hygiene, but also helps prevent blemishes.

Staying away from sugary foods and drinks also is a great way to promote good dental hygiene and keep those pimples from popping up.

Nose Face Map

Nose

The nose is connected to the heart so problems with the heart such as high blood pressure could be causing acne in this are of the face.

Staying away from energy drinks and caffeine as well as consuming more fruits and veggies are the best way to aid in not only maintaining a healthy lifestyle for your heart but helping with reducing acne in the nose area.

Also, it is important to go see a doctor if the heart problems are getting worse or are not getting better as it could be a health concern of other problems as well.

Ears Face Map

Ears

The ears are also connected to the kidneys just like around the eyes.

I’m not going to lecture you over and over about this, but… WATER IS KEY FOR CLEAR SKIN!

If you don’t drink enough water for your body weight, then your kidney will show it through your skin.

Chin Face Map

Chin

This is where the hormones come in to play. Chin acne is a sign hormonal imbalances due to stress and menstruation.

Hormone levels should be checked out by a doctor to see what you could do to balance them out.

A little tip for this type of acne is to drink mint tea to soothe the mind and provide antioxidants for the skin’s health. Also, get lots of omega 3’s because they are really great fats that can help with inflammation.

So as you can see, our external health really depends on our internal health and how we take of our body.

Next time you have a stubborn breakout, think back to this face map because your skin just might be telling you what you is causing it.

Of course, I am not a doctor so if your acne continues to stay the same or get worse after trying to change up your lifestyle according to this face map, then please go see a doctor for a proper diagnosis. There could be something deeper than just a lifestyle problem that is causing this reaction of acne.

But… It also doesn’t hurt to follow and maintain a healthy lifestyle as it really does have an affect on your skin.

Have you struggled with acne in just specific areas? What areas do you usually breakout in? Do you notice any lifestyle things that you do that could be causing your acne? Leave me a comment♥

Glowy + Natural Peachy Summer Makeup Look

SUMMER IS HERE!

It is super hot over here in Arizona (no surprise obviously) as the temps are in the 100s already!

But we aren’t talking about the weather today…

Today I am going to show you how to get this glowy, natural, and peachy summer makeup look!

Glowy + Natural Peachy Summer Makeup Look

With summer being as hot as it is, it’s the perfect time to go a bit more natural with the makeup — or even not wear any makeup at all! Even though I do not wear makeup on the daily, when I do wear makeup, I like keep it on the natural side.

Everyone wants to look glowy during summer all while still looking natural so I am here to show you how to achieve that!

Feeling Peachy

I start off by using my favorite primer which is the e.l.f Poreless Face Primer, which helps make all the pores disappear and gives you a flawless finish which is what we want since we are going a bit more natural today.

Glowy & Natural

Since we do not want to  have our face melt off in the hot sun and we want a more natural finish, I used the Purlisse BB Tinted Moist Creme with SPF 30. It is lightweight and moisturizing as well as evens out skin tone. Who wants to wear a thick and heavy foundation during the Summer when it is like 100 degrees outside…. at least if you live in Arizona haha 🙂

Glowy + Natural Peachy

Next, I set my face with my Rimmel London Stay Matte Translucent Powder because I am one oily girl! (Okay just my face is oily… I am not a grease ball haha). Setting my face is soo important for me if I am going to wear any face makeup, especially during the summer,  because I have oily skin so this just helps keep everything together and the oil at bay.

Natural & Peachy Makeup

During summer we all want to have that bronze look, so I took my Wet N Wild MegaGlo Contouring Palette in Dulce De Leche and just bronzed up the outer areas of my face the brown shade. Then took the lighter shade and just lightened it up under my eyes.

NO CONTOURING GIRLS! This is supposed to be natural, remember?

Natural Makeup

Blush is next! I love a light peachy blush to give a natural flush to the cheeks which is why I went with my trusty, all time favorite Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. It is a peachy pink color that is perfect for those Summer months for a subtle natural pink glow.

Peachy Makeup

On to the eyes! I started by blending that same Milani Bake Blush in Luminoso in my crease. Then taking the Milani Bella Gel Powder Eyeshadow in Bella Sand and putting it all over the center of my eye.

Peachy Vibes

And who can go with out mascara? It is a must! I coated my lashes in my Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara. It gives my lashes length without making them clumpy and makes them look a bit more natural — even though we know a blonde like me does not have naturally black lashes haha.

Summer Makeup Look

Let’s get those eyebrows on point! I have been completely obsessed with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Blonde. It is the perfect shade for me to get a natural brow that is not too harsh. I don’t really tend to go for the sharp carved out brows so this product is perfect for me.

Summer Makeup

Now for the best part! Time to shine! I used the Urban Decay Afterglow in Sin and highlighted all the high points of my face including swiping a bit on the center of my eyelid for some extra shimmer.

Summer Vibes

Time to set the face! Even though we are trying to go for a glowy look, I set my face with my Nyx Matte Setting Spray so that I can keep my face from getting oily, but you can use the Nyx Dewy Setting Spray if you would prefer.

Glowy + Natural Peachy Summer Look

Final step… Lips! The Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in Creamiest Caramel. It is a nude colored lip balm so not only is it moisturizing but it give a subtle pop of color to the lips.

To see how the look comes together step by step, you can watch my tutorial:

This is one of my favorite makeup looks that I even wear year round because it is super natural and very simple!

What products do you like use to get a Summer glow? Do you like more natural looks or the edgy ones? Leave me a comment below♥

Honeymoonin’ In Cali

After being married for 7 months, My husband and I finally got to take our Honeymoon in Cali!

Honeymoonin' In Cali

This was such a special trip for us not only because it was our Honeymoon but because the 29th marked the day that we have been together for 4 years!

I wanted to share our beautiful trip with all you and possibly even give some of you a little bit of inspiration for your upcoming honeymoon!

Day 1

Huntington Beach

We drove up early Friday morning of May 26th to Huntington Beach — where we stayed in our first Airbnb. We stayed in a cozy little studio apartment that had the necessities for our 5 day honeymoon trip!

Beach Feet

As we arrived in Huntington Beach, we headed straight for the beach before even heading to our cozy abode. It felt so good to finally bury my feet in the warm sand.

We fell in love with our tiny vacation rental as soon as we walked through the door! It was so cozy and had all the perfect necessities.

Riding BikesBike Riding

After getting settled, we took a late afternoon bike ride down to the beach which was only 2 blocks from where we were staying (How Perfect!) I have always wanted to go to the beach for sunset and it was soo serene.

Beach Sunset

Day 2

We used our second day to take a trip to the beach and do what ever we felt like doing! More of like a free day.

SlapFish.JPG

First things first was breakfast… which is what we have been waiting for… as we headed down to a place called SlapFish that was about a 10 minute bike ride from our little place.

Love This Man

We had been eyeballing this place since we saw a video of their lobster breakfast burritos on Facebook so we put on our schedule so that we could try those mouthwatering burritos. Just take a look for your self!

SlapFish Lobster Burrito

We only come to find that the burritos were $17 a piece – which is outrageous for a burrito – but again it was lobster and so we went ahead and ordered it. It was so delicious but definitely a one time thing!

Honeymoon In Huntington Cali

The rest of the day we spent at the beach and around the boardwalk of Huntington Beach. We got ice cream, collected sea shells, and walked around the stores. Talk about a relaxing day!

Baskin RobbinsHuntington Beach DayDay at Huntington Beach

Day 3

Now started the fun part of our trip! Disneyland Parks time! We had a 2-Day park ticket so we could spend one full day in each park.

On Our Way To California Adventures

Today we headed to Disney California Adventure. The great thing about going to this park around this time is that a day before we went to this park, the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout opened!

California Adventure

My hubby swore that he would not go on that ride because he hated the Tower of Terror ride and it is pretty much the same ride just a different theme, BUT… HE ACTUALLY WENT ON IT WITH ME! He still hated it but said it wasn’t as bad as the Tower of Terror because they changed up the sequence of the drops with the new Guardians of the Galaxy theme.

Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout

I also was able to convince him to go on the California Screamin’ roller coaster for the FIRST TIME! He actually enjoyed it and said that the drops were worse than the up side down part. (Hint: He sincerely hates all roller coasters so this was a big surprise that he enjoyed it!)

We Survived California Screamin

It was pretty hot out (especially waiting in those long ride wait times), so since we are both now 21, we got a frozen margarita each which was so refreshing! And… of course… we got one of those mouth-watering turkey legs and a broccoli cheddar bread bowl to share because who wouldn’t?!

Turkey LegCotton Candy Love

It was so relaxing knowing that we had the whole day for each park. I’ve actually never spent a whole day in California Adventure before so It was pretty exciting that I got to ride pretty much all the rides (at least all the ones I wanted to)!

Day 4

ITS THAT DAY! DISNEYLAND DAY!

Dinsyeland CA

This day was special to us, not only because we were going back to the happiest place on earth where we got engaged, but because this day marked 4 years of us being together♥

On OUr Way To Disneyland

I even brought my white ears with the veil on them that I got when we got engaged! It was such a fun day of memories!

Back to the Place We Got Engaged

We went on all our favorite rides including Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and more! We planned out everything with our fast passes and got to ride every ride we wanted to!

Disneyland Dole WhipEnjoying a Dole Whip

And of course… who can go to Disneyland without getting a Dole Whip?! It was actually our first time getting a dole whip and it was sooo delightful especially coming from my husband who can sit there and drink a whole can of pineapple juice! haha

Disneyland CastleHubby Love

Unfortunately, we did not stay for the fireworks because we were just so dang tired after 9 hours! Instead, we headed to the closet Walmart to our abode and picked up any food our stomach desired. We snuggled at our cozy place while watching a rental movie and stuffing our faces… Talk about a good ending to our fun day!

Day 5

Even though this is the day we head back home, the fun was still not over! Instead of traveling back home the way we came, we decided to drive through San Diego on the way home.

Sand Diego Beach

As we arrived in San Diego, we headed for Mission Bay Beach. We took a stroll on the beach and looked for more sea shells. It was quite chilly and overcast which was perfect for a light sweater.

My HubbyBeach Dreamin

Seeing all the kids playing on the beach and digging holes, we decided to get a shovel and dig our own hole. It was so much fun being carefree and acting like children again! I can’t even put to words how much fun but relaxing it was!

Zozos Giant Pizza

After playing on the beach for a little, we headed over to a little pizza shop called Zozo’s that my family and I used to go to all the time when I was little. They have the best homemade Italian pizza and even have their special giant slice of pizza! As the fatties we are, we decided to each get one giant slice of pizza and even ordered a third giant slice for the road!

The trip has now pretty much come and end as we drove past the California boarder and back into Arizona. Although we did have a wonderful trip, I was happy to be home in our warm hot state of the cacti.

Of course, now I miss Cali because as I am writing this, Arizona is in a excessive heat warning with temps of 110 degrees! What a welcome home present that is… haha 🙂

We seriously can’t wait to go back for another adventure and to book with Airbnb again♥ Definitely way better than staying at a hotel! This was probably one of my favorite trips with my hubby for sure!

Have you been to California? Disneyland? California Adventure? What was your favorite trip you have ever been on? Leave me a comment loves!♥

Ipsy May 2017 Glam Bag Makeup Look

I have been obsessed with the Ipsy Glam Bag Subscription* lately! I signed up about 3 months ago and have been loving it ever since.

Ipsy May 2017 Glam Bag Makeup Look

What is Ipsy?

Ipsy is a subscription service where you spend $10 dollars and get a cute little makeup bag (different each month) that contains 5 beauty products. The cool thing about the Ipsy Glam bag subscription is that the products are hand picked personally for you and your interests.

All you do is sign up, fill out your info, answer a couple questions about your self and preferences, pay the $10 and then just stare at your mail box waiting for one of these lovely glam bags to arrive in their flashy pink package!

You get to try out so many popular and new products! It is a good way to test out products that you have dieing to give a try but without spending a fortune.

Once you receive the Glam bag and try out all the lovely products you received, you go onto Ipsy’s website (or their app if you have it — would definitely recommend the app) and review your products. You not only personalize your glam bag even more by reviewing but you also receive 15 points per review! You can then redeem those points for extra products in your Glam bag during a month! How COOL!

Glam Makeup

I have seen so many people do makeup looks with the products they received in their Glam bag and so I want join in on the fun!

The Makeup Look

Watch my video to see how I achieve this look:

So obviously I did not use the hair masque because it is not a makeup product but an still super excited to try it out!

I honestly feel in love with the lip and highlight in this glam bag look! The Urban Decay afterglow in Sin was so stunning and very glowy. It easily became my new favorite highlighter!

The lip fondant in the shade Low Key from the company Caked was the perfect matte formula. I have been really into the deep plum and red lip shades lately, so the color was definitely on point for my taste!

I even decided to add that gorgeous Urban Decay highlight over the lip color for a little bit of metallic action! BAM!

Embrace Your Inner Beauty

Embrace Inner Beauty

Living in a world with a judgmental society, people feel the need to be perfect and live up to society’s standards.

This is where peer pressure comes in…

We all think we need to be just like the celebs and famous people that society praises, but we should be learning how to embrace our own inner beauty and say “SCREW SOCIETY!”

I am here to give you my tips on how to love yourself and embrace your beauty from within.

Beauty From Within

Learn to Self-love

The hardest thing is love ourselves with our own individual imperfections, but is an important step in embracing your inner beauty.

What ever your imperfections may be, don’t focus so much on trying to change them. Learn to love what nature gave you, how you were made.

Don’t hate yourself for what you were naturally born with. It is just what makes you special.

No one person is just like you. You are you and no one else can change that. Just think of yourself as unique.

Internal Beauty

Notice the People Around You

Stop. Take a minute to look around at all the people that surround you. Look at all the people that love you and the people that you love.

Whether it be family, friends, or even people that you pass on the daily — you will notice how they all have imperfections, whether it is in appearance or personality.

But does that stop you from loving them? No? Then there is no reason why you shouldn’t love yourself with your own imperfections. The people that really care about you will love you for who you are and not just for what you look like.

No one is perfect , no matter what society says. Everyone has imperfections that they don’t like. So just learn to accept yours!

Don’t Compare

As I said, not one person is the exact same as you. Everyone has flaws and everyone have best qualities.

Not everyone shows their flaws in their appearance. Some flaws are hidden deep inside a person’s personality. That’s why people say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover.

Don’t focus so much on what others look like. Focus on you and your beautiful aspects. Beauty is not just about what is on the outside, but on the inside too!

Self-Love

Care For Your Body

People tend to get caught up in the image of perfection that they forget to take care of their body.

Society makes us give into peer pressure to “do what everyone else does” but this sometimes causes us to harm or neglect our body’s health. Like starving ourselves to lose weight or getting lip injections to plump our lips.

Our body was not meant to be modified like that. We need to focus more on our health rather than trying to change the way we made.

Instead of starving yourself to lose a couple pounds, try eating healthier and working out more. And with trying to change your appearance as far as lips and other face features… just don’t! Your flaws are what make you uniquely beautiful in your own way.

We, as individuals, need to really focus more on self love and stop worrying about everyone else. Love yourself for who you truly are!

I want to say thank you to Ashley Stone Photography for taking all these breath-taking pictures! Definitely some of the best photos I have had taken!

If you are looking for a photographer for your special occasion then she is your gal! She does pretty much everything including maternity, infant, family, engagement, wedding, and etc.!
